Social Club Nueva Andalucía

Practical travel context

Travelling between Nueva Andalucía and Fuengirola

Nueva Andalucía is around 32 km from Fuengirola, generally a 30 to 40 minute drive on the A-7, with the AP-7 toll road offering a faster route when the coastal road through Marbella is congested. As with the rest of Marbella municipality, there is no Cercanías rail service here, so a car, taxi or the regional bus are the only practical options. Being slightly inland and above the marina, the first stretch of any journey usually involves coming down onto the A-7 before heading east.

About Nueva Andalucía

• Nueva Andalucía is known for its concentration of golf courses, sometimes called the 'Golf Valley', along with its residential villas and low-rise apartments.
• It sits directly behind Puerto Banús, with San Pedro de Alcántara to the west and Marbella town further east.
• The area is popular with long-term residents and second-home owners rather than short-stay tourists.
• There is no train station anywhere in Marbella municipality, including Nueva Andalucía — road transport is the only fast option.
• The A-7 and the Ronda road (A-397) both pass close by, giving reasonably quick access towards the coast road east.
