Nerja and the Axarquía
Nerja sits at the eastern end of the Costa del Sol, in the Axarquía region, known for its dramatic coastline, the Balcón de Europa and the Nerja Caves a few kilometres inland. It has a different character from the western Costa del Sol — more rural hinterland, fewer large resort developments, and considerably further from Málaga's main transport corridors.
It's worth being clear about the geography: Nerja is not near Fuengirola in any meaningful sense. The two are on opposite sides of Málaga city, separated by the city itself and a significant stretch of coast road.
Why there's no quick way to get here
The Cercanías C-1 line, which connects Fuengirola with Torremolinos, Benalmádena, the airport and Málaga city, terminates at Málaga's centre and does not continue east into the Axarquía at all. There is no rail alternative on that side of the city.
That means any journey from Nerja has to be made entirely by road, either driving the full distance or taking a bus that will typically involve a change and a considerably longer overall journey time than driving.
Planning a visit properly
Given the distance, a trip from Nerja is best planned as a full day: setting off with enough time to arrive comfortably, allowing time at the club, and factoring in the return journey as well. It is not a trip to squeeze into a spare hour.

Finding a private club when you don't live nearby
As with every location on this list, Weed Club Fuengirola does not publish its address, and this is standard practice for private cannabis associations throughout Spain rather than anything unusual. Distance from Nerja doesn't change that process.
The team shares the location once you've made contact, and registration — after starting online — is always finished in person, with valid photo ID confirming you're 21 or over.
