A club is a private association, not a business open to the street
Spanish cannabis social clubs are constituted as private, non-profit associations. That single fact explains almost everything else about how they behave: there is no shop window, no public price list, no walk-in service and no advertising aimed at people who are not members.
It also explains the registration process. An association has members, and members have to be registered — with identification, in person, and usually with an existing member or the club's own hosts involved in the introduction.
Why the address is rarely published
Because clubs are private, most do not publish a street address on their website. That is not evasiveness; it is the ordinary practice of a members' association. The address is shared once you are in contact with the club and the team knows who you are.
The practical consequence for a visitor is simple: message first. A short WhatsApp message with your questions saves a wasted journey.
What to expect from the space itself
A well-run club feels closer to a lounge or a private bar than to anything else: seating, music, a place to get a coffee or a cold drink, and people who are there to spend a few hours rather than pass through.
Fuengirola clubs tend to be busiest in the late afternoon and early evening, and quieter mid-week. If you want a slow visit, that is the time to go.
Etiquette that makes a good first visit
Bring valid photo identification. Ask before photographing anything — most clubs, including ours, ask members not to take photos of other people. Treat the hosts as you would in any private club, and keep club matters inside the club.
None of this is complicated, and none of it is meant to be intimidating. It exists so the space stays calm and private for everyone using it.
