The C-1 line runs along the coast from Málaga Centro-Alameda through the airport, Torremolinos, Arroyo de la Miel, Carvajal, Torreblanca and Los Boliches before terminating at Fuengirola. Arroyo de la Miel to Fuengirola is a short hop of just a few stops.
Trains run frequently through the day, so there's rarely a long wait, and the whole trip including walking to and from the stations at either end typically takes well under half an hour door to door.
Arroyo de la Miel sits close to the base station of the Teleférico Benalmádena cable car, which runs up to Monte Calamorro, and to Selwo Aventura, a large wildlife park on the town's outskirts. Both draw visitors who are separate from the town's everyday residential population.
