From the airport terminal, follow signs to the Cercanías train station, on the C-1 line. Trains run in both directions — towards Málaga Centro-Alameda, or south towards Fuengirola via Torremolinos, Arroyo de la Miel/Benalmádena, Carvajal and Torreblanca before reaching Los Boliches and then Fuengirola itself.
Heading south from the airport to Fuengirola takes around thirty to thirty-five minutes, depending on the service. It is a straightforward, well-used route and a common one for people arriving on Costa del Sol flights and heading straight down the coast rather than into Málaga city.
Once you reach Fuengirola station, the town centre and Los Boliches are both close by on foot or a short taxi ride. If you would rather drive from the airport, the A-7 runs the same route by road, generally taking a similar amount of time depending on traffic, with the added flexibility of not needing to walk from the station at the other end.
