Cannabis Club for La Cala de Mijas

La Cala de Mijas has grown fast, but it still has no cannabis social club of its own. Members who live along this stretch of the Mijas Costa travel a short distance west to Weed Club Fuengirola, a private association with its own indoor premises and a menu that changes every Monday.

The drive from La Cala to Fuengirola runs along the A-7 or the old coast road through Calahonda and Riviera del Sol, and takes most people 15 to 20 minutes outside peak traffic. There is no train station in La Cala, so the journey is by car, taxi or bus rather than rail.

Because the club is a private members' association, nobody can simply walk in from the road. Registration is completed in person with official photo ID, after an initial conversation on WhatsApp where the team explains what to bring and what to expect.

Plenty of current members first found the club exactly this way — living somewhere between Mijas Pueblo and the coast, without a local option, and looking for the nearest genuine one. Fuengirola tends to be the answer for that whole stretch of the Costa del Sol.

Inside, the emphasis is on comfort rather than turnover: seating, music kept low enough for conversation, and a team who get to know the regulars rather than treating every visit as a transaction.
